 | Andris FreibergsSet DesignerAndris Freibergsgraduated from the Latvian Academy of Art, Department of Painting (1965); was a set designer at the Drama Theatre (1965-1973), Principal Designer at the Youth Theatre (1973-1992), since 1992 is the Principal Designer of the Latvian National Opera. Since 1972 he lectures at the Latvian Academy of Arts, is the Head of the Set Design Dept. (1994), Professor since 1996. Among several international awards the artist has received, there is award of festival Baltic Theatre Spring, Prague Quadriennale (1987, 1995).
