09 December 2014, TuesdayTickets for two premieres of the season - "The Queen of Spades" opera and "Hamlet" ballet - are already on sale in theatre's ticket office and on our official website. "The Queen of Spades" directed by Lev Dodin will supplement the series of events dedicated to Pyotr Tchaikovsky 175th anniversary. Coproduction of Opéra national de Paris, De Nederlandse Opera (Amsterdam) and Maggio Musicale Fiorentino will be premiered on The Bolshoi Historical stage on February 27th, 2015. In 2003 choreographer Radu Poklitaru and famous British director Declan Donnellan created one of the most interesting ballet stagings at The Bolshoi - "Romeo and Juliete". This season they reunited to work with Shakespeare's plot again - The Bolshoi will present the "Hamlet" ballet to music by Dmitry Shostakovich world premiere on March 11th, 2015.
