The Russian Ballet competition is held to support young and talented dancers and to open their way to the big stage.
The contestants will have to be carefully selected, after which the best of them enter the final round, which is always held on the stage of the Bolshoi Theater.
The winners are chosen by a competent jury composed of famous choreographers, dancers and other stars of ballet art.
The purpose of the competition is to support young ballet singers from different regions of Russia.
The competition is attended by graduate students from dance schools in different regions of Russia.
The performances of the participants include the numbers of the classical ballet repertoire - solo (two variations) or duet (pas de deux). According to the results of the competition, the jury announces the winners.
The jury, chaired by Yuri Nikolayevich Grigorovich, includes eminent masters of Russian ballet art.
