Mikhail Diyakov

Baritone

Born in Moscow. In 1992, he completed his studies at the vocal faculty of the Russian Academy of Theatre Art (teachers A. Grigoriev, G. Lebedev). In 1994, he joined Moscow’s Novaya Opera Company, where he sang over fifteen roles.
Since 2001, he has been a soloist with the Bolshoi Theatre Opera Company.

He has appeared in Israel, France, Yugoslavia, England, Tunis, Holland and the USA.
In 2003, he sang the part of Mato in Mussorgsky’s Salammbo, in Munich (conductor Mstislav Rostropovich). In 2005, he sang Mandryka in Strauss’ Arabella in Bielefeld, Germany.
He frequently appears at the Chaliapin Opera Festival in Kazan, Russia. Took part in the Tartar Theatre of Opera and Ballet Company tours.
