Nikolai Kazansky

Bass-baritone

Born in Moscow. In 1996, he graduated from the actors’ faculty of Russian Academy of Theatre Art. In 2002, he graduated from the vocal faculty of the Moscow State Conservatoire (Yuri Grigoiev’s class). From

1999-2000, he was probationer and, since 2001, he was been soloist with the Bolshoi Theatre Opera Company.

Nikolai Kazansky tours in Russia and abroad. He participated in the International Pula-2000 Festival of Contemporary Music where he performed Yuri Butsko’s monoopera The Notes of a Madman. In 2006, he took part in production of Pagliacci in Morocco
