Vladimir Shishov

Dancer

Vladimir Shishov, a tall and vigorous dancer, already impressed the public by his breathtaking jumps when he danced Conrad in "Le Corsaire" during the 2003 Kirov season in London. Now he is one of the most promising young dancers, impeccable and thoughtful, with high forceful jumps. His dancing lacks excessive affectation and is never beyond the requirements of the role and style. He partners Uliana Lopatkina especially well.

Shishov is noble and gentle in "La Valse", manly and even brutal as Ferhad in "Legend of Love". His powerful and terrifying von Rothbart in "Swan Lake" is memorable. He is also a wonderful Basilio in "Don Quixote" and a noble Jean de Brienne in "Raymonda".
