Prokofiev". He held the position of 2 chief conductor of The Concertgebouw Orchestra (the Netherlands) from the year1978. He was also invited to take the position of The Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra chief conductor.K. Kondrashin taught at the Moscow State Conservatory from 1950 till 1953 and from 1972 till 1978. He passed away on March 8 1981 in Amsterdam. Beginning in 1984 the International Kirill Kondrashin Competition for conductors has been organized in Amsterdam regularly; from the beginning of 1990s the Festival named after Kondrashin has been held in Yekaterinburg. On the Bolshoi Theatre official pages in the social networks we have also published an announcement about the upcoming live broadcast of the ballet "Marco Spada" that will take place on March 30 On March 30th the ballet "Marco Spada" will be broadcast in cinemas around the world!Mass media about the TheatreTraffic lights and a crosswalk will appear in the Revolution Square Moscow Department of Capital Repair has announced its plans regarding the reconstruction of the square near the Bolshoi Theatre. Before the end of this year it is planned to organize estate maintenance on the Revolution Square, including demolition of unwanted buildings, which will allow the opening of the view onto the Kitai-gorod wall. Traffic lights and a crosswalk will appear near the Bolshoi Theatre as well. According to the Department of Capital Repairs spokeswoman Tatiana Blinova, the concept was designed by the architectural firm Wowhaus; it is expected to spend around 39 mln rubles (about $1,114,285) on developing documentation. The maintenance will be carried out on Teatralny Proezd, between Revolution Square and the Bolshoi Theatre; it is planned to put there a crosswalk, traffic lights and a safety island. Besides, it is planned to demolish the café on the Theatre Square (Theatre Square 5, building 3) in order to open the view onto the Kitai-gorod wall. Fair pavilions and toilet units are to be demolished as well. It is planned to make Revolution Square into a pedestrian area paved with granite. A green zone with summer cafes and the Museum of Moscow lanterns will take the place of the hotel
